Meet Juliet
Hi, I’m Juliet.
Originally from Nigeria, where celebration, family, and food are such a beautiful part of everyday life, my journey has taken me across countries, cultures, and seasons of life.
In my twenties, I moved to Italy, where I started my family and raised my children. Living there deeply shaped me. I fell in love with the beauty of Italian culture, its passion for food, craftsmanship, and the way meals and celebrations bring people together. Even today, that influence still finds its way into my kitchen and my love for creating meaningful experiences
through cake.
As my children grew older, we later moved to the UK, and somewhere along the way, my passion for baking and decorating quietly found its way back to me.
With a background in fine arts and textile design, I naturally became drawn to detail, texture, colour, and design. What started as baking for family and friends slowly became something
much bigger.
In 2020, I created BakareBakes, the first version of my business. But in 2022, after taking a series of cake classes, I discovered sugar flowers and sugar craft, and something changed for
me creatively.
The very first flower I made was a peony.
I still remember the feeling.
Hours passed without me noticing. I was completely immersed. In that moment, I realised this was more than just cake decorating. I had found something that truly lit me up.
Over time, my style naturally evolved into what it is today. Elegant, timeless, modern, and quietly romantic, with just a little drama.
As my vision became clearer, I knew the business needed a name that reflected this new direction and this new season of life. That was when Juliet Cakes It was born.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being a small part of so many weddings andcelebrations. Creating cakes for such meaningful moments is something I never take lightly. I
truly believe cakes hold memories. They become part of family photographs, conversations,
laughter, and milestones that people remember for years.
That is why weddings mean so much to me.
